Why Choose Our Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane Physiotherapists?
Our goal is to help you
Achieve The Results You Deserve
We pay close attention to your personal goals and take a hands-on approach to achieve the outcomes you desire.
We utilise our extensive experience and unique systematised process to perform a thorough body scan to identify any underlying causes related to your condition.
We undertake a thorough assessment of the musculoskeletal system (muscles, nerves and joints) throughout your whole body. Once this is completed, we create a personalised treatment plan which includes manual therapies, exercise prescription, acupuncture, clinical pilates and other services applicable to your musculoskeletal conditions. We will provide you with a clear explanation of the proposed treatment plan and expected outcomes.
Initial assessments are completed at our four physiotherapy clinics in Spring Hill (Brisbane City) Physiotherapy, Sunnybank Hills Physiotherapy, Bundall Physiotherapy (Gold Coast Business District) and Zetland Physiotherapy (south Sydney).

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Clinic - FAQs
What is musculoskeletal physiotherapy?
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy is a distinct area of physical therapy focused on diagnosing, treating, and preventing conditions affecting the muscles, bones, joints and soft tissues of the body. It aims to improve movement, reduce pain, restore function and enhance overall physical wellbeing through targeted exercises, manual therapy techniques and patient education.
Is physiotherapy covered by Medicare?
Physiotherapy treatment can be covered in part by Medicare, depending on your personal health conditions. There are however some hoops to jump through before you can show up to the clinic with your Medicare card. If you have a referral under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) program from your GP, you may access up to five Medicare-rebated sessions per calendar year. We can help coordinate your CDM plan and provide the necessary claimable documentation.
Alternatively, if you are covered for physiotherapy with your private health provider, you may be eligible for a rebate in our clinics. We offer on-the-spot processing for major health funds. Simply bring your health fund card and we’ll rebate your eligible sessions instantly. If you need an itemised invoice, just let reception know at check-in.
Can I access physiotherapy under WorkCover?
Yes, if you’ve sustained a work-related injury you can claim physiotherapy through your state’s WorkCover scheme (e.g. WorkCover QLD or SafeWork NSW).
As an approved WorkCover provider, M Physio will bill your treatment sessions directly to the insurer, develop a compliant rehabilitation plan with progress reports for your case manager and GP. We will also liaise on any additional services—such as workplace ergonomic assessments or clinical pilates—should you require them, ensuring professional support from assessment right through to your safe return to work.
How many physio sessions will I need?
Session requirements for physio vary by condition, severity and individual response. On average:
- Acute injuries – 4–8 sessions
- Post-operative cases – 8–12 sessions
- Chronic or multifactorial issues – 10–15+ sessions
We’ll review your progress regularly and adjust your plan to ensure you meet functional milestones as efficiently as possible.
Can physiotherapy help with recovery from sports injuries?
Yes, physiotherapy can play a crucial role in the recovery from sports injuries even in treating chronic conditions. Whether it’s a sprain, muscle strain, muscle tear, tendonitis, joint pain or any other sports-related injury, physiotherapy interventions can be highly effective in promoting healing, restoring function, preventing re-injury and relieving chronic pain.
Why choose M Physio over another private clinic?
Unlike other Sydney, Gold Coast or Brisbane Physio clinics, a highly professional physiotherapist from M Physio takes a hands-on, practical and personalised approach to get you to achieve your desired results as soon as possible, instead of using electrical gadgets, heat packs or just giving you exercises.
Moreover, we make sure to only hire the best physiotherapists who are highly dedicated to the field, as well as their own professional development and the latest research findings.
What do I need to wear or bring to my first appointment?
Comfortable, loose-fitting exercise attire is ideal (e.g. shorts, t-shirt or tracksuit). If you have recent imaging (X-rays, MRIs) or medical reports, please bring these along.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly request 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice incur a $50 cancellation fee. Late arrivals over 5-10 minutes may be subject to a shortened session or late cancellation fee.
Do you offer appointment times outside standard business hours?
Yes. To accommodate shift workers and busy schedules, select clinics offer early morning (from 8 am), evening (until 7 pm) and some weekend appointments . Please check availability when booking online or by phone.
Are your clinics wheelchair accessible?
All of our Brisbane (excepting Spring Hill), Gold Coast and Sydney locations feature ground-level or lift access, wide doorways and accessible bathroom facilities. If you have specific mobility needs, let us know in advance so we can ensure full comfort and support.
