Piumi Herath

Piumi is one of our amazing physiotherapists at the Spring Hill Clinic. Her warm and radiant demeanour is complemented by her commitment to tailoring optimal treatment plans for each individual. Drawing upon extensive experience as a physiotherapist, Piumi brings a wealth of knowledge to empower her patients in achieving their goals and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Piumi has completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of Queensland, one of the leading schools for physiotherapy studies worldwide. With a diverse background encompassing hospital, aged care, and private practice settings, she possesses expertise in addressing acute injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic complex cases. This multifaceted experience has fuelled her passion for addressing various musculoskeletal complaints, particularly conditions related to the neck, shoulders and back.

Piumi consistently demonstrates a commitment to assisting others at the highest standard. As a seasoned and knowledgeable practitioner, she employs comprehensive assessments to formulate highly effective, individualised treatment plans for her patients. Integrating expert hands-on skills with the latest research, Piumi delivers a calibre of care that is distinguished by its quality and commitment to long-term solutions.

Piumi is passionate about contributing to both local and global communities. In 2018, she spearheaded a volunteering program in Romania with a team of 16 students, to teach English in schools and educate young children about health and hygiene. Beyond her professional endeavours, Piumi enjoys channelling her creativity into pursuits such as sewing and painting. On the weekends, you’ll find her at the beach or hunting down the best coffee spots in Brisbane!
