Biography
Douglas is a naturally inquisitive person that brings compassion and enthusiasm to the team at Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia.
Douglas has had the experience of studying and working in different countries around the world including Hong Kong, Canada and now Australia. Before starting his journey as a physiotherapist, Douglas had a long-lasting passion for everything sports and basketball related. Douglas has participated and many basketball tournaments and swimming competitions around Southeast Asia.
Credibility
Douglas completed the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at Bond University and studied a Bachelor of Science Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
During his career, Douglas has worked with a variety of patients, ranging from professional level athletes with musculoskeletal conditions to neurological rehab patients on hospital wards. Douglas’ passion to continue his physiotherapy development has taken him to build a strong interest back pain management, post-surgical rehab, and sports rehabilitation.
Philosophy
Douglas believes that every treatment should be individualized for the patient’s personal needs. He believes that thoroughly assessing a person’s symptoms and conditions is key to developing a good treatment plan.
He believes compassion and dedication will help to develop the best possible treatment outcomes for individuals to achieve their goals. Douglas will utilize his knowledge in manual therapy, biomechanics, and neurological rehab to optimize every treatment he performs

Doug is a person with a variety of interests.
Perhaps chief of these is his love for sports. Growing up, Doug competed in swimming and basketball at a high level.
Doug also enjoys playing the saxophone and even teaches drumming to others.
Last but not least, Doug loves food! In his international travels, Doug has sampled some of the best cuisine the world has to offer and his current passion is to create the best homemade ramen he can!
